I’m Stephen, owner of Steve’s Blind Repair. I provide in-home repair and installation services for blinds, shades, and other window treatments throughout southwestern Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota.
HOW I GOT STARTED
I began working professionally with window treatments in 2021 when I began working for the largest Budget Blinds in the United States and Canada. I gained hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of blinds and shades.
Over the years, repair work became one of the parts of the job I enjoyed most. I developed a strong understanding of how different window treatments operate. I became someone others could turn to for help, and after a couple years, I began training new employees for the company.
After eventually pursuing a different career path, I realized I still genuinely enjoyed this work, and I saw there was a need for a local repair service focused on helping people fix what they already own, instead of automatically replacing it.
That's why I started STEVE'S BLIND REPAIR: I wanted to offer another local option for the people in the Driftless Region. Someone knowledgeable, personable, and professional.
WHY REPAIR?
Window treatments can be expensive, and a broken cord, worn mechanism, or failed component doesn't always mean the entire product needs to be replaced. When a practical repair is available, I want to help you get more life out of what you already have.
MY APPROACH
I believe great service starts with being straightforward. I’ll explain what I find, what I believe can be repaired, and what the repair will involve before moving forward.
My goal isn’t to sell you a new window treatment. It’s to determine whether the one you already have can be reasonably repaired and, when I'm able, to get it working properly again.
I treat every home and window treatment with care, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions about the repair, the cost, or your options throughtout the entire process.
Honest Answers
I’ll tell you what I find and whether I believe a repair makes sense.
Careful Work
Your home and belongings are treated with the same care I’d expect in my own.
No Pressure
If what you already own can reasonably be repaired, repair is always worth considering first.
